'Halfway reflections' is a project by musicians of the Academy of Music in Wrocław: Ryszard Żołędziewski and Marek Werpulewski with the special participation of the violinist Jacek Ropski.

The title is a reference to the two worlds of the saxop¬hone and the piano, which meet precisely midway, resulting in a democratic equilibrium between their fields. Amongst the exquisite works of outstanding composers and those less known but aspiring ones, we did our best to infiltrate and merge those two potentials, completing them in the last piece with the incomparable tones of the violin. We leave it to the audience to judge if the final effect is satisfactory, nonetheless the complex harmonic structures, impressive and progressive passages, expressive and sharp melodies, aggresive atriculation and syncopating, jazzy rhythms should be an additional encouragement to listen to this recording...
